The handle was taken in the mid-to-late '90s, back when fan-subbed manga crossed into the US one photocopied page at a time and a heavy-metal sorcerer seemed like exactly the right thing to be online. It stuck. For roughly three decades it has signed every forum post, every server, and every character.

These days the sorcery is mostly infrastructure: home labs, game servers, emulators for worlds the publishers walked away from, and the slow work of rescuing sites before they vanish. Same name, same attitude. Accept no imitations.
