A recent problem I ran into and others have asked me for the fix for. It's actually pretty easy to fix.

This is a copy of the error report that you would see if you login.

Array:
Date: 2009-09-02 04:22:25
ID: 3
Error occured in: Global
Count: 1
Message: ..\AddOns\MobInfo3\MobInfo3.lua line 2139:
   attempt to call global 'GetDifficultyColor' (a nil value)
Debug:
   (tail call): ?
   [C]: GetDifficultyColor()
   MobInfo3\MobInfo3.lua:2139: MI3_BuildTooltipMob()
   MobInfo3\MI3_Tooltip.lua:486: MI3_CreateTooltip()
   MobInfo3\MI3_Tooltip.lua:255: MI3_TooltipMouseoverUnit()
   [string "*:OnEvent"]:1:
      [string "*:OnEvent"]:1
AddOns:
  Swatter, v3.1.14 (<%codename%>)
  Atlas, v1.14.2
(shortened list here)
  XPerlTargetTarget, v
  BlizRuntimeLib_enUS v3.2.0.30200 <us>

To fix it, open the Addon folder for MobInfo 3 and look for the file "mobinfo3.lua". To edit this file you can use a variety of programs, I would suggest using something like Dreamweaver if you have it, but you could do it with WordPad (I don't recommend Notepad as it will look like a jumbled up mess).

Open the file using whatever program you choose, then search for the following line;

Line 2139

local col = GetDifficultyColor(mobLevel)

Change it to;

local col = GetQuestDifficultyColor(mobLevel)

IF you are running the Curse client, it will tell you that the version is different for this installation and it will say "Dev" by the entry in the program. Just ignore it until there is an update in a new build.

Note that this addon is out of date, I currently use X-Perl for this feature now and no longer use or mod this addon.
