Hello everyone. I have set up a new site which will be taking over exclusively. This site is still going to be here, but the forums will not allow you to create new posts.

Frontpage: Warhammer Guild Name Suggestions |

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to point out that there WILL be a Warhammer guild comprised of quite a few of us from the previous games, as some may suspect.
Right now we are looking for guild name suggestions, so if you have one, submit it! Check this thread for more information.
We're still working out some of the specifics of how exactly this is going to work, but I believe we've gome up with the general concensus that it will be a guild lead by a commitee, which actually wasn't unlike the style we used in Vanguard, only a more clearly defined guild expectation this time around.
If you want to be a part of the fun and festivities to come, be sure to keep in touch, even if you don't get the pre-order, or you hold off a while, we still would love to see you join us there. :)
Be sure to check for updates as there will be quite a few in the upcoming weeks as we get ready for launch.

So I've been focusing more on other things instead of doing what I was intending with the site, but I've since then returned to work more on it. :) I have quite a bit that I'll be posting over the next few days, so be sure to check for updates!
Also, I uploaded a few new pics to the gallery and changed the layout quite a bit of the folders structure to make it a little easier to find what you are looking for. Be sure to check it out!

Greetings!
Just throwing out another update. I've been doing a little work on the site and thought I would point out a few areas that have received a little attention (and will receive much more soon).
In our Wiki, we now have a section for a few different titles, and a section to cover other titles that aren't listed. Naturally, if you want to post something in the wiki but need help with adding content, please post in the forum and I will help you out with whatever you may need.
I re-arranged our navigation bar on the left to make it a little more user friendly (I thought) as it was just jumbled together before. I will likely make a few more changes to it, but all in all I think it's a positive thing.
I'm going to be working on some new reviews for the review section and I encourage people to write reviews and post them in the forums! If you write one and would like to see it listed in the reviews section, let me know and I will get it added!
Otherwise, I have taken my leave of Vanguard : Saga of Heroes. I have decided that I will likely not be returning to the game. I really wanted to see this title take off, but I strongly believe that Sony has sealed the fate of Vanguard and that it will not make it. My guess is that they will take whatever they can from it and build it into EQ3, which has always been their flagship MMO.
I am currently playing World of Warcraft on the Kul Tiras server, and will probably remain there at least until Warhammer comes out. Even then, I may not leave it, as it is the only game that my wife really enjoys playing still. I am still looking to build a static 5-man and 10-man team to hit some of this content with, so if you are interested, give me a shout.
If you have always been curious about WoW, but just never did try it out, let me know and I will hook you up with a 7 day trial to check it out. Note, though, that during the trial you can only play to level 20, and you cannot use the mail or auction systems. (I won't tell anyone, I promise ;) )

So, I'm trying to get together a few graphics to change the different parts of the site that need to be changed. I uploaded one for now, but I would love to see what others might come up with! Show us your stuff. :)
I've decided on calling the forums the Gamer's Lounge, and I'll adjust the domain later, for now it will remain darkschneidr.com and honorguardoftelon.com (until that domain name expires).
Post what you come up with! You may upload it to your personal gallery and link to it from the forums.

Hello everyone!
I've had quite a few ask about what we plan to do with the site since our guild in Vanguard has move into a new direction. Here are my plans with the site...
I would like to continue development for this project as I am learning tons about this. My vision is to keep hosting this site, and ventrilo, and possibly provide a hosting service to the community. I would love to see some of our members who have branched out into other games create guilds and allow me to host for them.
Anyways, that's the short of it. Please stick around and keep our site on your favorites. :)

On Sunday, May 04, 2008 HonorGuard of Telon merged with the guild Havoc. If you are looking for a friendly guild with much the same atmosphere as we were attempting to provide, Havoc is a great guild to consider. Please take the time to check us out.

Hey everyone!
Yes, it's been a while (I know, I know), but we've just been so busy doing stuff!
Our ranks have steadily continued to climb which has allowed us to get our feet wet raiding in APW, as well as take on some other content that is out and about in various parts of the world. With so many new faces, there's always something to do in Telon with HonorGuard!
Also, I would like to note that we have had some talents in different areas starting to make their way into the light that we weren't quite aware that we possessed. Shinie has taken on the task of creating shinie new custom signature blocks, which some seem to be quite excited about, GO SHINIE!
As always, there are new photos being added to the gallery on a regular basis, so be sure to check them out (you can also comment and vote on the photos if you look at the bottom of the pages).
Our wiki steadily starts to take shape and form itself (with the help of a few members :) ) and is starting to transition away from being a "bunch of information found in other places) to one that has quite a bit of unique information in it. I'm glad to see more participating in this project, and I hope to see even more possibly working on it in the near future!
All in all, HonorGuard is making excellent progress, and our HoT Lotto weekly event has become more and more eventful (last week Braelyn won over 3p in it!!!) and scheduling events is steadily becoming easier and easier to get people for. if you are someone looking for a casual raiding guild for the timeslots that we raid in (check our calendar) then jump on the forum and apply today!!!

This week with HonorGuard...
We hit APW Friday evening with only 11 people and were working on some trash mobs and just doing some general perusal of the place. It was quite fun, and we all had a good time. Everyone did great, considering we had so few to do the raid with, many of us were quite impressed with how it went.

Hi everyone!
Well, I have returned from my trip, and we are working to kick this thing into high gear! A special thanks to Braelyn, and our officers, for handling everything in my absence!
Our trip went well, and we were thoroughly tired upon returning home, but we had a lot of fun, and now we're married! :) I'm still waiting to see what our wedding photos turned out like, so once I have had a chance to review those, I will post some pics.
Now... on to the NEWS!
There is quite a bit going on in HonorGuard, beginning with the implementation of many processes and people who are going to help with organization of raids, events, etc., and it doesn't stop there. Many new features, additions, activities are on the horizon for our members.
One thing that was mentioned that I found was particularly interesting was that no one has any idea just how much information is buried into this site! If you are a member of our site here, or even just a frequent visitor, you should really check out some of the content that is located here. The navigation menu is on the left, however, I will list a few things out here as well.
Did you know...
- ...that HonorGuard has their own Wikipedia that allows us to gather data and share it with other members of the guild? This has been a huge undertaking, and I simply cannot do it alone without taking my focus off of other things, but it really is cool! Check it out! Gamer's Lounge Wiki
- ...that as a member, you have your own photo gallery that you can upload pictures and screenshots to? Your personal gallery can be found at My Gallery
- ...that we have a crafting catalog of items that are able to be crafted, with pictures, etc. by members of our guild? Braelyn currently heads up this project, but she would be absolutely thrilled to have a couple other crafters handling other crafted items that she is not able to make. A gallery of weapons, armor, furniture, etc. is our vision there, and either myself or Braelyn, or anyone that is familiar with it for that matter, will be glad to help you out with it. - ...that we have a chat room for people who want to hang out and talk with others? This is nice for those days where you may be sitting around, but be unable to login. This, along with the forums and Ventrilo, is an easy way for you guys to communicate. Gamer's Lounge Chat
- ...that you have an online journal available that you can also use to write creative stories or document your adventures? You can even upload screenshots to the gallery and link to them to create these things! Journal

- ...we have a ventrilo status page that shows the people logged on ventrilo? This page was created to help with troubleshooting, as well as, simply checking to see if anyone is online to chat with. Ventrilo Status Page
- ...we have a polls section? I would love to have more people creating polls in it that we can data mine with, or just for general amusement even. Polls / Surveys
- ...that you have your own board email/private messaging system? This can be accessed by clicking Private Messages
- ...that we have an event calendar used to help with scheduling events such as raids, questlines, etc.? This is an invaluable tool that will be used to schedule every guild organized event that we hold. Event Calendar
- ...that we have a DKP tracker for tracking DKP for members? Did you also know that you don't have to be in a raid or even level 50 to earn DKP? There is much more information coming soon regarding this. DKP Tracker
- ...that we even have a review section for creating reviews of the products that our members have worked with? This is a work in progress, but definitely something that will be getting more and more attention soon. Reviews
Well, that isn't everything, but it certainly is a long list of things that have been asked about recently. It's all right here, and there's more to come!
Also, I had someone ask about donations and I also wanted to point out that there IS a secured paypal donations link on the site that you may use for donating funds to help keep this project alive. The expenses of operating this site and running our voice chat server are real, and anyone willing to assist is always appreciated. We have had a few people over the course of our time in Vanguard that have donated to help out with these expenses, and it has been a tremendous help. Thank you all!

I am going to attempt to make at least one update post a week, but ideally, I'd love to be able to do these 2 or 3 times a week again.
